Hi, I’m Lexi
I’m an instructional designer who creates intuitive, engaging, and impactful learning experiences.
My diverse background in theatre, psychology, education, and UX design has made me skilled at finding ways to make boring things interesting and complex ideas simple. Whether I’m facilitating a backstage etiquette training for high school theatre students or designing an online small engine repair program for adult learners, I know how important it is to keep learning experiences objective-focused and learners engaged.
My theatre background is one of my greatest assets as an instructional designer; it encourages me to think outside the box. How can we assess learners without using a multiple choice exam? How can asynchronous online students collaborate on a project? I thrive bringing ideas to life through collaboration and creative problem-solving.
In my personal time, I consider myself a professional mediocre hobbyist. I love learning new skills, although I don’t necessarily excel at them all. My friends will attest that while I’m a decent seamstress and talented singer, I’m also a dangerous carpenter and a bland chef. Despite several hobby-fails, I never let the fear of failure stop me from trying something new.
